I was on a 30 day cross country adventure and lost my rear brakes. First I went to Greeley HD in CO and told my home dealer put in DOT 4 brake fluid and cap was warped. they flushed and put new fluid and gasket. Still leaked so tried to order cap at Las Vegas HD since I was heading there. Las Vegas HD said they couldn't order without being pre-paid and couldn't take my credit card over the phone. I explained it was an emergency but to no avail !!! Luckily at a gas station on route to vegas a man (Keith) saw me checking my bike and asked if I needed help. told him my issues and he call his dealership right there. His parts dept would order part overnite without credit card since part was only 25.00 !!! They ordered the part and a few days later installed it !!!! Thank you Keith (tech) and the service dept for GREAT help !!! If you ever need roadside assistance hope your near this dealership !!! or meet up with Keith !!! Thank you again !!!! I would like to say that Bakersfield HD is one of the best dealerships, I have been in over the last four years looking for a bike. Scott and Mark were so very helpful and they made getting my new to me, 2010 Limited such a great experience.The dealership is like family to me and I love to take my sons and wife down there over the weekends to visit and hang out. I have meet some of the Best people down there. Last year I lost my Dad and the local HOG chapter with help from Bakersfield HD provide 16 rider to escort him to the local veterans cemetery and made it such a special day as well.I would like to encourage anyone that is interested in the HD to slow down and enjoy this as much as I did with getting to know your dealership and the people in it, so you can get the most out of owning and riding your new bike.

So I am on a 4300 mi. round trip from Kansas to CA. and back. I find my self with this incredible heat coming up from the rear head on my 06 FLSTCI with my legs at its mercy. At this time I am heading south on Hwy. 99 I have called all the Harley shops along the way they all tell me that they have a 08 and later med frame heat shield but it wont fit my bike so we can't help you. I call Bakersfield Harley Davidson, and talk to Tim in parts, he tells me that he has the same one for an 08 and newer but you need to talk to Don in Service Dep. so talk to don he tells me that it might fit. So I came in with my scooter Don customized the heat shield to fit my scooter, KUDOO's to Don and the service Dep. not to forget the parts Dep.

Scheduled a Dyno Tune at Bakersfield HD with Mark. Have had problems with a few other shops spending the time getting the Dyno right. Kevin spent 3 hours tuning my CVO Ultra and that bike has never run better. He explained to me the changes he was making as he went along! For years I have heard a few people complain that BHD service was sub-par. I have used other Harley dealer service shops and "local repair" shops to service/repair my '07 Ultra until about a year ago. My son purchased a used '01 ultra with a severe oil leak. After leaving it with a "local Harley repair shop" and hundreds of dollars and many days of lost riding without finding and repairing this leak he brought it to BHD service. Within 24 hours it was repaired and returned to him costing far less money than he wasted at the local repair shop. The professionalism shown by Rob and his staff towards my son was all that it took for me to start bringing my bike to BHD service. Best thing I have ever done with my bike. I only wish that I hadn't listened to all those experts with their negative comments about BHD, I would have switched much sooner. I was wrong and so are they. The personal and professional attention that I get from BHD service is very exceptional to say the least. I think that we are very fortunate to have Bakersfield Harley Davidson as our local dealership and I find no need to travel out of town for any future purchases. Thank you BHD!
